About the rooms

Soulton Hall is also in ideal base from which to explore Shropshire and the midlands, or to draw people together from across the country, offering a choice of rooms each of which has its own individual style and charm.

Soulton Hall

The comfortable and spacious rooms in the hall are named after families connected to Soulton Hall's history. Each has its own character with antique furniture and many architectural features - such as mullioned windows, oak floors, beams and paneling - dating back to the 1500s.

The Carriage House

Across the lawn, the Carriage House has been transformed, and it now offers ground-floor accommodation with two spacious double-bedded rooms each with en suite spa bathrooms, one of which has an adjoining sitting room. With its own small, south-facing courtyard and open views across the fields to Soulton Wood, the rooms in the Carriage House are particularly restful.

The Cedar Lodge

Standing in its own grounds, and situated just the other side of the walled garden from Soulton Hall, is the Cedar Lodge. It provides an especially peaceful four-poster suite with views to Soulton Wood framed by ancient oak trees.

Family accommodation is provided in a set of three rooms - the Garden Rooms - with one bathroom. These more modest rooms are in the Cedar Lodge.

The Tariffs

All of the rooms are in a timeless, peaceful rural setting and allow guests the opportunity to explore walks in the private oak woodland and gentle fields, and along the riverbanks and tracks, to be found on the Soulton Estate from the very front door. (The Soulton Estate is managed under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, and so its already plentiful wildlife is therefore being ever better cared for).

A full English breakfast is included in the tariff, and is served in Soulton Hall's elegant Dining Room.

There is ample convenient parking and all rooms have direct dial telephones, colour televisions, hairdryer and a tray for morning tea and coffee.
