Meetings and Corporate Hospitality
Soulton's Setting and Location
Soulton Hall is an authentic country house: a quiet haven at the heart of a private 500 acre farm. Our central location (well served by motorways and rail) has proved useful in drawing people together from around the UK.
Offsite Meetings: Headspace
We run our own business here.
As such, we totally understand the importance of rising above the operational routine of your business (away from interruptions... the telephone... unscheduled appointments... a package that needs signing for...), to reflect on the strategic aspects of your organisation. This way, you can asses a situation clearly, and make progress.
Retreats
There are seven public rooms here, of varying size.
Our largest (the Long Room, Soulton Court) can accommodate more than 120 people with a significant degree of formality, and with space to breakout into a bar and further reception space (and into further rooms if necessary).
But sometimes inspiration comes in a less formal context. For example, on occasion, a small business group on a retreat, will, having wrestled with a problem around a boardroom-style table all afternoon, and finally relaxing properly at sofas gathered around a fire, come to their solution over coffee.
Often being together away from the formality of work can help to strngthen the connections within a team.
We have a private woodland here, as well as a 500 acre farm. If you need to get a break, it can be useful to take a walk (or a run, if you prefer) from the front door, but closer by we have two walled gardens to sit and relax in.
Often meetings will take place in Soulton Court, with entertainment in Soulton Hall -- this can be a healthy divison between the working and social aspects of the day.
Out of the Ordinary
Every once in a while we are approached with a quirky question, for example:
''Could you do a BBQ for 400?'';
''How many helicopters could you land there?'';
''Can we have an elephant?''
''What is the maximum number of dogs you would be happy to have?''
''Can we bring a tractor?''
''Can we park the launch car in the walled garden?''
These often lead to events that are a lot of fun.
