Event - Play: Neville's Island Outdoor Performance
by Tim Firth
Tickets can be booked for this event via this Ticket source page.
Four middle-aged business colleagues are on a company management course in The Lake District.
Angus misses his wife Julie. Gordon misses his home comforts and believes there is nothing great
about the outdoors. Roy tries to remain positive whatever the situation and Neville, well Neville has
been elected team captain.
When their rowing boat hits a rock in the middle of the lake they are forced to swim to the nearest
shore – consequently they become the first people to become shipwrecked in Derwentwater. Tim
Firth has created a superb comedy as the four men are forced to confront the possibility that they
may have to spend a cold November night on the island.
This outdoor performance will take place in the grounds of Soulton Hall – this is lawn seating so
please bring your own camping chairs and remember to wrap up warm – the performance will go
ahead whatever the weather.
