Access Statement
Soulton Hall
Soulton Hall is a grade II* listed manor house, incorporating parts of an even older Medieval building. It is set extensive gardens and is surrounded by 500 acres of country estate.
We aim to meet the needs of all our guests. However, Soulton Hall's historic nature posses a number of difficulties, and while we continue to work to try and limit them as much as possible, they are indicated below.
We will update this section of our website to reflect improvements as they are made, but please be aware that this can only be a snapshot and that we strongly recommend that you get in touch with us personally to discuss your requirements before arrival, so that any necessary arrangements can be made etc.
We are pleased to offer the following services.
Pre-arrival
You can contact us prior to arrival by phone 01939 232 786, or email enquiries@soultonhall.co.uk.
This website (www.soultonhall.co.uk) provides a significant amount of information about Soulton Hall, including travel directions.
Arrival & Car Parking
Check-in is normally after 2pm and check out around 10.30am. Earlier check-in to your room may well be possible by arrangement.
On arrival, please stop outside the courtyard to unload your passengers and luggage, if you are disabled you may wish to park in the courtyard. We are only too happy to offer help with your luggage and to provide an umbrella if it's raining. Parking is then to the gravelled area to the right of Soulton Hall, with overflow parking indicated by signage. Most parking areas are gravelled.
Main Entrance & Reception
The reception is accessed of the principal floor of the house. Access to this is described above. In the entrance hall, behind the front door (which is nearly always open, and if not should push open) there is a glass door, when the handle is depressed this will open inwards. There is a bell to the right of the front door, please ring this for assistance if necessary.
The main reception is through the Hall at the bottom of the stairs which rise to the first floor. There is another bell here to ring for assistance if necessary.
Soulton Hall's Internal Public Areas
The public rooms in Soulton Hall are on the principal floor of the house (which sits above a half cellar), this is accessed off a flight of seven shallow stone steps, these have a stone balustrade on both sides. The public rooms in Soulton Court (itself an historic building), which have been restored with access requirements in mind, present fewer accessibility issues.
