Your Wedding Ceremony
The mellow Tudor bricks, honeyed sandstone and well tended gardens of Soulton Hall are a wonderfully romantic backdrop for the exchanging of your vows, and we are delighted to be able to offer a choice of charming and historic rooms licensed for wedding ceremonies.
Ceremonies in Soulton Court
Soulton Court, built in 1786, is the former stables of Soulton Hall and now forms part of a range of buildings which surround the White Garden and face onto Soulton Hall. The Long Room has a stone flagged floor and an original timbered ceiling. It has a broad terrace with a lavender hedge and views over the White Garden and across to Soulton Hall. The Long Room can accommodate up to 120 guests.
Ceremonies in Soulton Hall
Soulton Hall itself can accommodate more intimate ceremonies. Four rooms are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. The elegant Lydia-Grace room, with an impressive carved fire place an oak floorboards, has a capacity for around thirty friends and family to share your ceremony with you. When appropriate, this room can be lit exclusively by candlelight.
Other rooms licensed for a wedding ceremony in Soulton Hall are the Withdrawing Room, the Hall and the Buttery. Each of these has capacity for around fifteen guests.
Church Weddings
For an Anglican Church ceremony, we are only a mile from the picturesque village Weston-under-Redcastle with its gothic church of St Luke; alternatively, the larger Norman Church of St Peter is only two miles away. You can, of course, arrive in style, transported by horse and carriage or a vintage car.
