Following on from their hugely successful 2020 summer season of The Two Gentlemen Of Verona, which was among the first socially distanced live performances to go ahead in the UK after the country was plunged into lockdown by the pandemic, British Touring Shakespeare are excited to bring their renowned strengths of energy and accessibility to a brand new adaptation of this well loved mystery.

Following the death of Sir Charles Baskerville in mysterious circumstances, the family doctor James Mortimer comes to seek the help of world famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his trusty assistant Dr Watson in ensuring the safety of the last of the family line as he moves into his ancestral home on Dartmoor. Can Holmes and Watson get to the bottom of the legend of the fiendish hound that is said to haunt the Baskerville family before it is too late?

This innovative production of this classic tale will make for an unforgettable evening of open air theatre that promises to enthral audiences of all ages.

Since 1999, British Touring Shakespeare have delighted audiences around the world, winning critical acclaim with their fresh, energetic, traditional and accessible productions, and have become synonymous with the very best in open air theatre.

“At long last, a company that does Shakespeare – and indeed theatre – the way it should be done. This is drama at its most human, that speaks to the gods.” – The Stage

“British Touring Shakespeare gives theatregoers a spectacle unrivalled in intensity and theatrical excitement” – Time Out Dubai
